The DRK-9727 unit is Rencool’s new add-on series rooftop system utilizing the well-known and trusted Red Dot unit (R-9727). The system comes ready to install by simply providing 24 volt DC power. The DRK-9727 series unit comes pre-gassed ready to start cooling. Suited for the Mining and Heavy Construction applications this unit can be installed for primary or secondary function cooling and will keep the cabin cool while your engine is shut down. With its robust construction and the powerful DRK Rencool patented compressor drive system it has no trouble producing 6kw /22,000 BTU to keep the cabin cold in above 50°C ambient temperatures for below or above ground machines. With the highly efficient DRK compressor drive unit and low amp draw the system is compatible with a wide range of machinery without heavy load on the alternator and in some cases dropping only 1.5 volts over a 2 hour shut down period. Fuel calculations done on the Rencool BCA-6 series alongside the DRK-9727 has proven to impact major changes to Mining site operations in regards to fuel saving, carbon emissions and service intervals. As an example, if a machine idles for 20% of its yearly run time with an average of 8000 hrs, fuel savings can amount to $100 000 – $140 000 per year depending on the machine’s engine capacity. The DRK-7 compressor drive system has a life span up to 200 000 hours with no servicing required during this time but the normal A/C service schedules. The highly efficient BLDC motor insures long lasting power without the high amp draw needed to make 6kw of cooling power.
